App leaderboard FAQ
How listings, rankings, source data and paid claims work on appstorerank.lol.
What is appstorerank.lol?
appstorerank.lol is a live, paid promotion leaderboard for iOS, Android and web apps. It helps people discover participating apps and lets app makers compete transparently for the top position.
How are apps ranked?
Apps are ordered by their highest successful bid. The app with the largest current bid is #1. These positions do not represent app-store downloads, website traffic, revenue, search rank or editorial quality.
How much does it cost to reach #1?
A new claim must be at least one dollar above the current leading bid. On an empty leaderboard, the first claim starts at one dollar. The checkout shows the exact required amount before payment.
Can an existing ranked app bid again?
Yes. Search for the app again or open its profile and choose Outbid. You pay only the difference between its current bid and the new total needed for #1. A successful increase updates the same listing rather than creating a duplicate app.
Which app platforms are supported?
The app search supports Apple App Store links and IDs for iOS, Google Play links and package IDs for Android, and public website links for web apps.
How are web app links verified?
The server accepts only public HTTP or HTTPS pages, checks every DNS result and redirect, blocks local, private and reserved network addresses, limits response size and time, and requires an HTML response. The link is checked again before checkout.
Where do app names, ratings and screenshots come from?
Mobile metadata is collected from the selected public Apple App Store or Google Play listing. For a web app, the title, description, site name, icon, category and preview image are read from the verified public page when available. The app or website owner controls the original source.
Is appstorerank.lol affiliated with Apple or Google?
No. appstorerank.lol is an independent website. Apple, App Store, Google Play and Android are trademarks of their respective owners.
Is the paid bid the same as the app’s purchase price?
No. The paid bid is the amount used to determine position on this website. An app’s store price, when available, is displayed separately on its profile.
How do weekly launches work?
Weekly launches are a separate Sunday-to-Saturday UTC board. The first 20 paid products in a week start at five dollars. From the 21st product onward, a new submission starts at twice that week’s current highest paid total. Apps are ranked by the total of their successful submission and top-up payments.
Can people see products scheduled for a future week?
No. Future products are kept private and appear only when their selected week opens. The submitter receives a payment confirmation but there is no public future-week preview or account dashboard.
How does Move up work without an account?
Anyone can fund an app that is visible in the current week. The button calculates the additional amount needed to pass the app immediately above it, then the server recalculates that minimum at checkout in case the board changed.
What happens when weekly launch totals are tied?
The app that reached the tied total earlier stays ahead. Adding one dollar more than the app above avoids a tie and moves the app up after payment succeeds.
